gatsby-remark-dropcap

Gatsby.js Remark plugin wrapper for remark-dropcap.

Modifies the first letter of the first paragraph from your markdown, converting it into accessible, cross-browser Drop Cap typography markup.

Syntax

Input Markdown:

# Hello World

When in the course of human events.

Things go wild.

Output HTML:

<h1>Hello World</h1>
<p>
  <span aria-hidden="true">
    <span class="dropcap">W</span>hen
  </span>
  <span class="invisible">When</span>
  in the course of human events. 
</p>
<p>
  Things go wild.
</p>

Install

npm install --save gatsby-remark-dropcap

Usage

The following snippets are for the gatsby-config.js file.

Simple usage:

plugins: [
  {
    resolve: 'gatsby-transformer-remark',
    options: {
      plugins: [
        'gatsby-remark-dropcap'
      ]
    }
  }
]

Advanced usage, with options:

plugins: [
  {
    resolve: 'gatsby-transformer-remark',
    options: {
      plugins: [
        {
          resolve: 'gatsby-remark-dropcap',
          options: {
            dropcapClass:   'dropcap',
            invisibleClass: 'invisible'
          }
        }
      ]
    }
  }
]
